Jackie Swinton
Senior Advisor, Strategic Communications & Partnerships
Jackie Swinton has built her career around communication and the simple reality that what you say matters far less than what people hear.
Her first formal training was in music, where interpretation, timing and audience matter as much as the notes themselves. Those ideas continue to shape her approach to communication.
She helps organizations clarify their story, understand how they are perceived and identify who needs to be part of the conversation. Sometimes that means shaping a narrative or changing the conversation. Often, it means recognizing that the right introduction can accomplish more than another hundred pages of strategy.
That same thinking guides her work in partnerships and fund development. Rather than treating funding as a transaction, she looks for genuine alignment between organizations, projects and the people who can help move them forward, building relationships that extend beyond the immediate ask.
Through the Alberta Business Alliance, she advises members on communications, public perception, strategic relationships and fund development, turning strong ideas into stories people understand and opportunities they want to be part of.

She has successfully led teams, developed marketing initiatives, built strategic partnerships, and planned and delivered impactful events across a variety of industries.
