Paul Marcuk
Managing Director
Paul Marcuk is an experienced operations leader with more than 25 years of expertise in business operations, event management, and team leadership.
At the Alberta Business Alliance, he leads event planning and supports day-to-day operations, helping deliver high-quality engagement across the organization. He brings extensive experience coordinating executive-level events that connect business leaders, industry stakeholders, and government representatives.
His background includes leadership roles with Alberta Enterprise Group and nearly two decades with Versent Corporation, as a General Manager and National Trainer, focusing on team development and operational performance. He also brings additional operational experience from his work with CBI Business Solutions.

Cathie Saroka
Managing Director
Cathie Saroka is an experienced CEO and leadership advisor with more than 30 years of expertise in organizational leadership, strategy, and culture.
At the Alberta Business Alliance, she provides guidance on leadership alignment, strategic direction, and organizational effectiveness.
She is known for her practical, direct approach and her ability to strengthen teams while accelerating performance.
As the CEO of Goldray Glass, she has led the transformation of the company into one of North America’s leading architectural glass manufacturers.
In her current work as a fractional CEO and advisor, Cathie supports organizations with strategic planning, leadership development, and cultural transformation.

Shondell Sabad
Managing Director
Shondell Sabad is a seasoned executive leader with more than 20 years of experience in finance, operations, sustainability, and enterprise growth.
At the Alberta Business Alliance, he contributes strategic financial insight and supports initiatives that strengthen organizational performance and long-term impact. A CFA Charterholder and experienced CEO and CFO, he brings a disciplined approach to financial governance, operational execution, and value creation.
His work includes leading capital raising efforts, ESG and sustainability integration, and enterprise optimization for mid-market organizations. Shondell currently serves as President and CEO of a Canadian clean fuel company developing Indigenous-partnered biofuels projects, bringing a forward-looking perspective on energy and economic development.

Catherine Brownlee

Catherine Brownlee is a highly regarded executive advisor with more than 25 years of experience in executive search, business development, and strategic relationship management.
At the Alberta Business Alliance, she plays a key role in strengthening partnerships, supporting strategic initiatives, and helping guide organizational growth. She is known for her extensive network, strong relationship-building capabilities, and her ability to deliver results in complex, high-stakes environments.
Her experience spans national and international projects across corporations, government, and global organizations, with a focus on human capital strategy, enterprise support, and event execution. Catherine brings a deeply connected and strategic perspective that supports ABA’s mission to engage business leaders and influence meaningful outcomes.

Brad Annett
Director
Brad Annett is Co-Owner of TENNACOR Canada Inc., an Edmonton-based fire equipment and industrial supply company serving Alberta’s emergency response, energy, and industrial sectors. Since acquiring the business with his brother in 2006, Brad has grown the company by focusing on long-term relationships, customer service, and practical procurement solutions.
With more than 25 years of experience in sales, business development, and supply chain management, Brad is passionate about connecting people, solving problems, and helping Alberta businesses succeed. He holds Supply Chain Management and Power Engineering certificates from BCIT and NAIT.
Born and raised in Alberta, Brad is committed to strengthening the province’s business community through collaboration, integrity, and service. He is honoured to serve on the Board of Directors of the Alberta Business Alliance and support its mission of advancing business growth, advocacy, and community impact.
